These are the principles from my coach's book that this whole program runs on. Distilled, and tied to how I actually apply them.
1. Become the result, don't chase it
"Don't get the result, BECOME the result."
Goals (The Program) set the direction. After that, attention goes on the process — beating last session, showing up daily. The physique and the muscle-up are byproducts of being the guy who trains like this.
First an intention → a behaviour → a habit → a practice → second nature → simply who you are.
2. The pillars of progress
Program · Volume · Intensity · Frequency · Progressive overload. Dial one up, you can dial another back.
Volume: 10–20 hard sets / muscle / week.
Intensity: most sets to/near failure — but big barbell lifts stay 2–3 RIR for safety.
Frequency: each muscle ~2× / week (built into the Weekly Split).
Failure training is also antifragility — "either I train to failure or I'm a failure" energy, used in moderation. It builds the same grit as a cold plunge.
